National event in Glarus 2006/05/06-07 (ESN Fribourg and Winterthur)
Want to experience the real Switzerland?
This is the event for you.
We're going with the international students of other universities to the heart of Switzerland to attend one of the last two "Landsgemeinden" left in Switzerland.
The "Landsgemeinde" is a gathering of a canton's population for voting and election purposes.
It takes place on Sunday, 07th May, but we already go on Saturday to spend some time hiking in the beautiful Glarner mountains and for a fun stay overnight in a typical swiss army home or a scouts house.
It will cost you around CHF 50.00 (we still try to reduce the price... :-)
